New Delhi, Sep 6 (PTI) Anti-Terrorist Front Chairman M S Bitta today pledged to donate his body after death and hoped it will help give a new lease of life to people injured in terrorist attacks, war or any other "inhuman" tragedies. At a function ''Dehdaan Ki Shapat'' here, Bitta signed the organ donation form and appealed to the people to come forward and donate their bodies.

"Only a few people are ready to donate their organs and body. No one knows what will happen tomorrow.

So, I have decided to donate my body after death with a view in mind that my body might give new lives to victims of terrorism, war or any other inhuman tragedies," Bitta said. Fourteen others also pledged to donate their organs at the function.

"I call upon others to donate their body for the sake of humanity and precious human lives," he said. Bitta also said he had written to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh saying he was willing to donate his organs even before death if needed to give a new lease of life any victim of terrorist attacks
