Anti Terrorist Front chairman MS Bitta today expressed concern over the
increasing drug menace in Punjab.
The state government should reduce liquor vends in the state, he told reporters here On India's demand that Pakistan should hand over the wanted militants, Bitta said India should not adopt dual policy on terrorism. The Parliament attack accused Afzal Guru should be hanged first. There is no point in delaying the capital punishment to Guru, he said. Police should be equipped with modern weapons to fight against terrorism and other agitations, Bitta said. He said all political parties in the country should come on one platform to promote the interest of the country "instead of evolving new strategies to create vote bank, to capture power and to rule the country, which will cause irreparable loss to the country". |
