TRAFFIC JAM : Delhi
10.Aug.2007. ANJAN KUMAR SAMAL. liveindia.com.
Delhi the capital city going to be the center of traffic hazards despite of all the useless initiatives
by the Delhi Government.8 A.M. to 11A.M. & 5P.M. to 9P.M. is the time of breathless moment all around the city seems the smoke zone of the Universe.

The on duty traffic cops helplessly become the  mute spectator in a corner at every red light with passing their time by smoking “BIDI” or gossiping with each other.

It seems Delhi Government and Delhi traffic Police have abdicated their responsibility with regard to
public order, traffic regulations and road safety.  Taxpayers money is being invested in their institutions but with no result. As a result general public and the road users, especially school children, are left to fend for themselves.

So many court orders are there, but nothing has been done to check rot on road and traffic situation in Delhi.

As the “GLOBAL WARMING” alarm is already ringing, we the people of Delhi should be aware of it and should take necessary plan of actions to make our city co2 free and zero tolerance traffic for the sake of our city and the future generation.
