!Do you know in the near future what would be the greatest Disaster for the whole
country, environment, ecology and its entire culture and civilization?
That may be the the very disappearance of “Great Ganga”.
So Arise! Awake!Experience your responsibility!
Because this is………………..         GANGA     (A Disappearing River)
· Today government is in the process of implementing and finalizing a series of dams at the Gangotri valley in Uttarakhand Garhwal.
· The series of dams on the upper Ganga starting barely 14 kms away from Gangotri at an altitude 3000 mtrs. At a place called Bhairon Ghati.
In the present time when whole world is confronting the disaster of global warming  think that will it not be a cause of a lot of adverse impact on that great and highly sensitive ecology of himalayan region? It will harm a lot and will cause to kill the Ganga  and its greatest water quality.
Please be aware and responsible about
# The great Ganga, its importance at its origin valley, the diversity and richness all along its way upto GangaSagar and human interference in this so far untouched and pristine ecology of the area.

# The adverse impacts of these projects on the fauna, flora, human beings of the area and the great culture of Ganga basin.

# what the eminent scientist, ecologist, geologist, glaciologist and local people says about these projects and its impact on everything.

# what is the actual development in all respects and what is so called eye wash.

# what says the “Environmental Impact Assessments”(E.I.A.) about any such projects and how long our projects carry out these rules in the name of development.

Think over it and be a conscious citizen that
* Is the development means no more than  a statistical number- on an individual level the capacity to consume and on a national level the ability to courageously sacrifice anything and everything on this numerical alter?

The species is in the edge of disappearance along with Ganga are-
1. Himalayan Snow Trout,2. Golden Mahaseer
These two species of fishes are found in the Ganga water ecology.
3. Asiatic Black Bear,4. Himalayan Thar,5. Leopard
These three species are found in the mountain associated with Ganga and which are in adversely affected by the series of dams and listed in schedule-1 under wild life protection act.
6. Jungle Cat, Also listed in schedule-2 and found in the same jungles.
*The most threatening and environmentally sensitive issue is that this entire place is an earth quake sensitive area that falls in Zone-4/Zone-5 having the highest possibilitiy of earth quake and have a known history of distructive quakes in the past.
So the kind of developments which one does find are widespread reports of drying up water sources, disruption of daily life, loss of grazing and agricultural land, loss of forest and loss of local culture

*Save and respect Ganga means *
· To save the environment and great sensitive ecology.
· To save the fauna, flora and the richness with diversity all along its way in every respect.
· To save its greatest water quality of self purification.
· To save the phenomenon of silt deposition upto sundarban which is  one of a great blessing of its free flowingness.
· To save and respect the only great and living symbol of India’s age-long culture and civilization.
We call it ‘mother’ because all along she blessed, she enriched, she purified now its our responsibility to save it, to respect it.
!Save Ganga      !Save culture    !Save environment
