This function is with limited guests. There may be only 20 guests, which may include shree Amar singh, Mulayam singh, May be Gandhi family, Kapoor family, Anil- Tina,  Nanda family, Preety zinta and Rani mukherjee.

The wedding, billed as Bollywood's biggest in decades, is expected to take place between April 18 and 20 at Bachchan's home in Mumbai, newspapers and TV channels said. 

"I can tell you a date has been discussed, but I am not in a position to disclose it now," spokesperson for Rai said. "It is for the two families to make any announcement."
The wedding is expected to take place on April 20 at the Bachchan residence in India's entertainment capital of Mumbai, the NDTV network reported.

Bachchan's spokesman could not be reached for comment. 

The Times of India newspaper said April 20 had been vetted by astrologers as an auspicious day for both stars.

"The date April 20 is free of 'doshas' or bad combinations," Naveen Khanna, an astrologer, was quoted as saying.

Bachchan and Rai got engaged in January, ending fevered speculation about their hush-hush romance. Abhi and Ash, as the Indian media calls them, have been likened to Hollywood celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

The wedding ceremony at Bachchan's home is likely to be a strictly private affair with only about 15 close family and friends invited, the media reports said. Bachchan's octogenarian grandmother is in hospital.

Rai, 33, and Bachchan, 31, have worked together in at least five films. Rai was crowned Miss World in 1994.

Rai is considered one of the most beautiful women in the world and endorses several international brands while Bachchan, one of Bollywood's hottest actors, was named the sexiest man in Asia in a survey conducted by a British newspaper last year.
