Security check at Goa hotels
Panaji, Feb. 9 The
Goa government has said that hotels, guesthouses, lodges and other accommodations
will have their lincences cancelled if they do not keep record of their
guests.
“Whoever does not follow
regulations, their licences will be cancelled,” Goa chief minister Digamber
Kamat said last evening.

Recently, three suspected
militants who were arrested in Karnataka confessed that they were planning
to strike in the tourist state.
The chief minister, who
had earlier announced that the state was on general alert, said precautions
had been taken to block any possible militant activity.
“We are awaiting a detailed
interrogation report from Karnataka; only after that will we be able to
comment more,” Kamat said.
Goa has sent its police
team headed by superintendent Neeraj Thakur to Karnataka to interrogate
the arrested militants.

The chief minister also gave
a clean chit to the police force in Goa and said there was no lapse on
their part
