Why? Thats what I want to know. Why is everyone getting so hyped up about something that hasnt even happened yet.

According to National Geographic, the Mayans made predictions of certain cycles of time, December 21, 2012 just happens to be the end of one of those cycles of time, and the world as we know it will change.

It will not be from a polar shift because the last polar shift that occured took about 1,000,000 years to occur.

The last Maya world ended about 5,200 years ago by a devastating Ice storm that completely covered everything all at once. This even happened abruptly, very quickly, all in a one nights time. It is suggested that something climatic will devistate our planet on December 21,2012. It is being predicted that something even more devastating will happen than the ice storm 5,200 years ago.

It is also believed that massive floods, severe thunderstorms with violent lightning strikes and rare spawning tornadoes
 is one way that the world AS WE KNOW IT may come to an end. Just look at the southern states of the UNITED STATES, the storms and floods and tornados get worse and worse every year down there. Larger tornados, larger than EF2, are being reported more and more frequently than ever before and happening more often. 

Some people think that another planet is going to collide with planet Earth but that is highly unlikely to happen. The Mayans have predicted many things exactly, for example the 2 wars taking place right now, thats right, predicted by the Mayans and the time place they would take place, just after 2001.

It is also possible that nuclear war and world war 3 could possibly break out and just destroy everything from plants, animals and humans.

Another thing to consider, especially in the United States is Yellowstone National Park. The park is just one large volcano, a super volcano if you will, that hasnt erupted in years. All it could take is something cesmic to happen and it could very well set the volcano off with a super eruption. Anything within 1,500 to 2,000 miles would be affected by the fireballs and ash bursting into the air.

Even though noone know what will happen, something is very likely to happen, the question still remains.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN?

So you can take whatever you want and believe whatever you want about whats gonna happen to change the world as we know it and the possible devistating events to take place on December 21, 2012. Anything could happen, Its just a matter of time.
