Priyanka Chopra's dream home is ready and the actress is delighted. But she hasn't moved in yet and will do so when she has the time to do it up herself. 

"I'll have my house-warming party and move into my new place only when I return from Miami in July. My parents have shifted though, leaving me by myself in our old place," she grumbled good-naturedly. 

"Last week( 29th. Feb. 08) my parents had a house-warming party for their friends. Since I had no time, I refrained from inviting any of my friends. Isn't that sad? We had to postpone our shift several times. We were supposed to move in last Diwali, but the interiors had to be completed," the actress said. 

Priyanka is house-proud. "It's such a feeling to own a home that I've watched come up brick by brick. Full marks to Suzanne Roshan for making my dream home a reality. I think her aesthetics are very close to mine. My parents' apartment and mine are adjacent [as they were in our earlier residence] and are so beautifully done. Both have been done up differently." 

Since Priyanka is shooting non-stop to complete Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion before rushing off to complete Dostana, she can't pack beyond the stuff she'll need for her trip to Miami. 

"But my mom is packing my belongings that I've accumulated over the years. I wish I had more time to enjoy this important move in my life. But I am free only in July after I finish shooting Fashion and Karan Johar's Dostana. After that, no more assignments for the time being and only then will I get some time to move in and enjoy my new home. 

"Until then, I'll be happy watching my parents enjoy our new home. Their happiness means more to me than my own," she said.
 

29.Feb. 2008. Priyanka Chopra recently shifted to her new house in Raj Classic, Versova. Although an excited Priyanka had invited all her relatives and friends for a housewarming party on Friday evening, she couldn't play the perfect host as she was busy shooting. Priyanka's parents, Ashok and Madhu had to attend to all the guests. 

Of course, the guests were somewhat startled when they found that Priyanka was missing from her own party. 

A source present at the party says, "Priyanka's housewarming party was a grand affair. But surprisingly, Priyanka was missing. Although her beau Harman Baweja, family and friends were present at the party, Priyanka reached home only at midnight. The party was over by then."

Actor Mukesh Tyagi, who was one of the guests present at the party, says, "The housewarming party was a very warm and homely affair. Priyanka's parents took good care of the guests." And what about Priyanka? "She was not around. I guess she was busy shooting that day," says Tyagi.

Priyanka's new house is designed by Hrithik Roshan's wife, Susanne.

Commenting on the interiors of Priyanka's new house, the source says, "The house is tastefully done in subtle colours and textures. The house's theme is predominantly Indo-western. For instance, a beautiful chandelier adorns the living room and there are a lot of antiques too. The furniture and walls are a mix of ivory and fawn colours. There is also a spacious dining area."

Although the guests were dismayed because Priyanka couldn't make it to the party, the beautiful ambience seems to have made up for her absence. "Priyanka's house also has a very classy and well-stocked bar. It is one of the most beautiful bars I've seen," adds the source.

Incidentally, Priyanka, who has moved in with her parents, has purchased more than one house on the same floor and has got them inter-connected. This will give her the much-needed privacy and also keep her close to her parents at the same time.  Smart move, Priyanka.
