REVIEW : Love Story 2050
"No doubt Priyanka looks
very sweet and she is a main attraction in film, You must watch this film
for Priyanka and Harman"
'Love Story 2050' is the
debut movie of Harman Baweja, son of well-known director Harry Baweja.
This Bollywood kid is starring opposite none other than his real life love
Priyanka Chopra. Significantly, its director Harry has taken all pains
to launch his dear son's movie with the best music by veteran Anu Malik
and the lyrics penned by witty Javed Akhtar. Consequently, Anu's music
to Javed's lyrics is no less than a big extravaganza for the Bollywood
audience, as the latter would find it easier, peppier and funkier.
CAST: Priyanka Chopra,
Harman Baweja, Boman Irani
PLOT: Karan (Harman
Baweja) lives life on the edge, the free spirit knows no rules, while Sana
(Priyanka Chopra) is a shy girl who loves poetry, love and romance.
But you know how the saying goes, opposites attract and the two fall in
love. Then there's Uncle Ya (Boman Irani) who develops a time machine,
Sana wants to go to the future - Mumbai 2050, but an accident takes place.
Switch to Mumbai 2050, complete with robots, flying cars, holograms and
all. Karan finds himself losing his love and Uncle Ya and Karan both
have to deal with Dr. Hoshi who's on their tail.

THE GOOD:
With out a doubt the best thing to come out of the flick was the star -
Harman Baweja. He's hot, he can dance the pants of most of B-Town's
actors, and he proves he can act as well. On to the special effects,
I must admit, I was quite impressed! Although it was overdone, and
eclipsed the love story at times, Bollywood has never seen special effects
like this before. The tracks, Sach Kehna, Milo Na Milo and Meelon
Ka, are all likable.
No doubt Priyanka looks
very sweet and she is mail attraction in film, You must watch this film
for Priyanka and Harman.
THE BAD: While the
first half was sweet and innocent, the second relied way too much on the
special effects. The plot is weak, and the film is way too long.
The story relies way too much on the special effects and lacks substance. |
Priyanka, surprisingly
seems as though she's overacting and trying way too hard to play the part
of 'the good girl' in the first half and then 'the superstar' in the second.
THE VERDICT: Without
a doubt, it's not a major disappointment!
