Priyanka forced director Madhur Bhandarkar to change Fashion's climax
19. Feb. 2008.
Till now, we have only heard stories of actors like Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar demanding changes in their film's storyline. But, who says that top actresses don't have their way in the Hindi film industry? Priyanka Chopra proved this point recently.

Priyanka forced director Madhur Bhandarkar to change Fashion's climax, and the filmmaker had no choice but to relent.

An insider says, "Madhur had consumed a lot of time trying to rope in an actress for Fashion. He had approached Bipasha Basu and Kareena Kapoor for the role but things didn't work out. In fact, he was very keen on signing Kareena.

The new ending will not find Priyanka becoming pregnant. The end has been mellowed down to suit the actress' sensibilities.

When contacted, Ajay Monga, who is one of the writers on the film, did not deny the story. He simply said, "I am not supposed to talk on this matter. I hope you understand. Moreover, I am currently busy with the script of my first film as a director which will be launched very soon."

We repeatedly called and sent text messages to Priyanka but she remained unavailable for comment. So was the director Madhur Bhandarkar
