Stars dream for the New Year 2008.
They are the dream merchants on screen, the stars of Bollywood who sell fantasies of romance and beautiful, faraway pavilions to millions of cinemagoers everywhere. 

But what do they want for themselves this year end, a time when everybody is celebrating and looking forward to the New Year with hope? Where will they be, how will they bid adieu to 2007, and what wishes do they have for themselves in 2008? BT checked with some stars... 

Priyanka Chopra: Iím shooting till the 30th. Then Iíve one day to spend with my 
family. After New Year, Iím off to Bangkok to shoot a commercial. My wish? That my father remains well, and my films do well. 

Suniel Shetty: Iím off to spend the year-end with my family in our Khandala home, and that includes my parents, of course. Iíd want my family to be happy and complete in 2008. On the professional front, I want my production company to march ahead. 

Bipasha Basu: Iím working on New Yearís eve. Iíll be performing at JW Marriott. Then Iím heading to Kenya for a weekís holiday. I hope in 2008 I have loads of fun and I do great work. Iíd like to travelmore and pray for less violence in the world. 

Tusshar Kapoor: I canít travel out of Mumbai for the New Year, as Iím shooting. So it will be just close friends home on the 31st. My only wish for 2008 is to see my films get a smooth release. 

Sonam Kapoor: Iím actually working this New Year in Jaipur. But my parents, sister and my best friend are coming to visit me. 

Arshad Warsi: Iím off to the mountains in Uttaranchal with my family. I wish the world would take global warming seriously in 2008. 

Madhavan: Iím off on a cruise with my wife and son in Singapore. My wish? I want to spend lots and lots of time with my family in Chennai in 2008. In 2007 I was home for all of 28 days! 

Raveena Tandon: Iíll be with my husband, children and friends at a friendís house in Alibaug. I want to get back to some work in 2008. 

Esha Deol: On the 31st Iíll be with old school friends and my mum out of India. In 2008, I want a role that will challenge me as an actress. Iím waiting with fingers crossed. Iíve kept my dates free. I want that one kick-ass role. For the rest of world I pray for peace. 

Urmila Matondkar: Iíll be working on New Yearís eve. As for my wish list for 2008, do you have the time? 

Kangana Ranaut: No plans for the New Year. But I do want to take a holiday in the South of France. Is that my New Year plan or my wish for 2008? I donít know. 

Mona Singh: This may sound boring. But Iíll be visiting gurudwaras on New Yearís eve to thank God for all he has given me. Then Iíll spend the day with family. Then Iíll party at night with friends. In 2008, I hope I get that one big role in Bollywood. 

Amrita Arora: Iíll be working in Bangalore on the 31st. In 2008 I want to do more interesting work. And hope my films do well. 

Muzamil Ibrahim: I donít have a plan for the New Year. Iíll just go with what my friends want to do. I want my parents to be healthy during 2008. And I wish my career would take off beyond Dhokha. 

Himesh Reshammiya: I donít have any partying plans. Iím totally tied up with my recordings of Karz. In 2008 I want to live up to the audiencesí expectations in my three films Karz, Kajraare and A Love Issssstory. 

Perizaad Zorabian: This New Year is special. Because itís my first as mommie to baby Zaha. Playing mommie, daddy and baby is like living in a fairytale. In 2008 I want to balance out my family life with my career. 

Upen Patel: Iíll be spending a quiet domesticated New Year with my mom. In 2008 I hope for happiness, success and love and a life free of manipulations.  
Rahul Khanna: Iím spending the New Year with friends in the US and looking forward to a year of interesting and fun-filled roles. 

Arbaaz Khan: For New Year Iíll be at our family farm-house in Panvel with my parents and brothers. In 2008 I want to quit smoking. My son is growing up and I donít want him to feel itís okay to smoke because daddyís doing it.

Sophie Chowdhary: Iíd like to bring in the New Year while performing on stage. Itís not just about money. Iím passionate about singing and dancing. In 2008 I want to be appreciated as an actor and not just a veejay and singer. I want to break the mould. 

Koena Mitra: Iíll bring in the New Year with work. In 2008 I want better work and more love from everyone. At the end of the day, all we want is happiness. 

Sameera Reddy: Iíll be shooting on the 1st. So Iíll bring in the New Year with family and friends in Mumbai. In 2008 Iíd like to build on the sense of positivity that I created within me in 2007. 

Malaika Arora: Iíll be in Delhi, performing. In 2008 I want my new TV show and my feature film EMI to do well 

Iqbal Khan: Iím going to Himachal with my wife, away from the noise and pollution of the city. I havenít been to a winter spot in ages. Inshallah, I wish 2008 should be full of satisfaction in every walk of my life. 

Dino Morea: Iím spending the New Year with my family and close friends. My parents are down from Bangalore. In 2008 all I want is to work every day. 

Celina Jaitley: My brother is getting engaged so weíll have a family dinner on New Year welcoming his fiancée to the family. That apart, I want my career to finally take off in 2008. Iíve worked hard. I want my dues
