Apparently, the internationally-renowned wax museum invited Khan to get a wax replica of himself made by them. As no particular reason was given, we can't help but wonder if Aishwarya Rai's [Images] wax figure has anything to do with it.

Salman will make a worthy addition to the Bollywood section of the gallery which has earlier honored Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan with wax replicas because for better or worst he has been one of the most popular Bollywood stars over the past decade. 

The fact that there will now be two Khans and two Bachchans in Madame Tussauds London gallery may or may not be significant. 

"Bobby Khan, who is in-charge of the Bollywood gallery at the museum, has already spoken to Salman Khan," a source told the Mumbai Mirror. 

"A formal letter is on its way and once the formalities are completed, a team of experts will come down to India for his measurements. They will begin work on the statue, and a big launch will be held in January 2008," the source adds. 

However, both Salman Khan and Bobby Khan could not be contacted to confirm the news.
