Priyanka as saying: "it was a sense of accumulated gratitude that took me to Vaishno Devi…And I wanted it to happen before my father's next surgery. My father's illness was a reason for the pilgrimage. So was the release of Krrish …Fortunately there has been no end to things to be grateful for. I guess I had a lot to speak to God about.”

Priyanka says she had been thinking of making this pilgrimage for a long time but her work routine kept her busy. And now that she was able to take off three days from the schedule of Farhan Akhtar’s movie Don , she flew to Jammu to make the trip.

Accompanying Priyanka on the three-day pilgrimage were her parents. While her parents flew to the main temple via helicopter, Priyanka hauled herself through the arduous climb.

"It was an awesome experience. I felt so much at peace just walking up that hill. I feel a load off my shoulder now," Priyanka says.

She now returns to resume shooting for ‘Don’ in Malaysia.
