whole crowd. NEW DELHI: With just a few
hours left for Temptation 2005, Delhi had its first brush with the stars
on Friday.
Addressing a group of media
persons in the Capital, actor Rani Mukerji expressed her enthusiasm about
being a part of the show.
Sponsored by The Times of
India and organised by the National Centre for Promotion of Employment
for Disabled People (NCPEDP), the proceeds from the show, which will be
held on Saturday in Indira Gandhi Stadium, will go towards making India
a barrier-free place for the disabled.
Speaking of her involvement
with the cause, Mukerji discussed the various ways in which each citizen
can contribute their bit in making the disabled feel a part of the "normal
world".
She said: "These people
are as normal as any of us. In fact, they are more hardworking and more
strong as they have to make an extra effort to keep up in a world which
seems most insensitive to them."
Anjana Kuthiala, an artist,
was also present at the conference. Her work on Shah Rukh Khan, which was
inaugurated by him some time back, was also on display. One of the paintings
will be given to a lucky audience member at the show.
"Creativity has no barriers.
In fact, disability is no barrier for being creative. Art is not about
perfection but about being expressive," she said and appealed people to
come forward and help produce and promote artwork by the disabled
