Amitabh Bachchan's ‘Paa’

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan is sporting a ‘phenomenal’ new look in his upcoming home production ‘Paa’, the make-up for which takes four hours, the actor wrote in his blog. 

Mumbai, March 16: Whenever superstar Amitabh Bachchan has essayed the role of a father to our B-town hotties, he has fabulously managed to gather accolades. In fact, Indian audience seems to love him for his grey look as much he was loved in his younger days. And now, the actor is reportedly all set to reverse his role with real-life son Abhishek for ‘Pa’. 

Grapevine has it that R Balakrishnan (Balki), the director of ‘Cheeni Kum’, will now be portraying Big B in a very interesting role in his forthcoming flick ‘Pa’. The father-son duo will now be reversing their roles in the film, which means that it is going to be Abhishek who plays Amitabh’s father in the film.

An industry insider says, “Interestingly, Abhishek plays Amitabh’s father in ‘Pa’. Amitabh is playing a man who ages really fast and as a result looks far older than his actual age. To do justice to the role, a special make-up artist is responsible for Amitabh’s look in the film. It takes over three hours to put on Amitabh’s make-up.”

Well, Abhishek playing Amitabh’s father is sounding like a real shocker already! 

"My rituals today were guided by the extensive hours at the studio, a major portion of which were in front of the make up mirror, getting the face plastered with silicon," the actor said in a recent post on his blog. 

"It took 4 hours for it all to come on and another hour to take it off. But may I say the results were simply phenomenal," the 66-year-old actor wrote. 

The film also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan and Harman Baweja in key roles.

We find in the actor’s blog “My rituals today were guided by the extensive hours at the studio, a major portion of which were in front of the make up mirror, getting the face plastered with silicon”. But the actor is very pleased with the look that he dons in this film.”

The make-up specialists are from Los Angeles and it takes four hours for the team to do justice to the new look of Bachchan Sr. Big B has complimented the team of make-up professionals and has said that they are extremely professional in their work.

‘Paa’ is being co-produced by AB Corp and Reliance Big Entertainment. The film started rolling a couple of days back. The film sees Big B along with son Abhishek, Vidya Balan and Harman Baweja in pivotal roles.

‘Paa’, a film that Bachchan terms as an endearing address by Abhishek (Bachchan) to his father, is a part of the co-production deal between AB Corp and Reliance Big Entertainment.
