When Mahendra Singh Dhoni is in Bangalore, can Deepika Padukone be far away? The latest Bollywood sensation, who, incidentally, is also from Bangalore, visited the team hotel on Saturday night. She was apparently spotted at the hotel with father Prakash Padukone and sister Anisha. Hotel sources said she was there to attend a party. Clad in blue denim jeans and jacket, she was the cynosure of the party, attended by the ‘who’s who’ of the city. So did Dhoni, who is not playing the Test, make it to the party? Or did Yuvraj make it to the party? Watch this space. On her star status post OSO, Deepika said that she was very happy with the response to the movie and was looking forward to her career. However, she blushed when put to answer on working with Dhoni in a film. "I don't think he is interested in acting." "Next question please." Any films/ad/work with Dhoni? A very demure smile, "I don’t think he’s interested in acting." What about Shoaib Akhtar? "Let's see, if the director and script is good, I'll take it. "However, Shoaib and I both are new in this field", she says.  We all know about Saif’s
plans of turning producer and beginning his own production house. The actor
has already finalized a project titled ‘Agent Vinod’, to be directed by
Sriram Raghavan next year. In all likelihood, the film will star Saif’s
latest flame Kareena Kapoor .
And Deepika Padukone, who has had her dream debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om , is under consideration for the lead role in the film. Saif says the cast of the film will be announced once the script is ready. On a different film, Deepika is all set to do a film with Akshay Kumar . The flick will be directed by Nikhil Advani and produced by Rohan Sippy . Well, Deepika has hopped into the bigger league at the very beginning of her career.  I will be around for long: Deepika Padukone NEW DELHI: Her debut movie "Om Shanti Om" has been a success but latest Bollywood sensation Deepika Padukone attributes it mostly to her co-star Shahrukh Khan. The model-turned actress, who plays a traditional girl in the movie, is humble in her success and believes she has a long way to go in the tinsel world. "When you start working in a movie, you never think that it's going to be a superhit. You just enjoy working," she said while referring to "Om Shanti Om" which was released last week and has been quite a success at the box office. At the same time, she gives "a lot" of credit to her co-star Shahrukh Khan, who plays an actor in the film which is based on the theme of re-incarnation. As "Om Shanti Om" was released along with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's romantic flick "Saawariya", film critics had forecast a tough competition. It, however, proved wrong as "Om Shanti Om" clearly scored over "Saawariya". Talk about the concept of rebirth or reincarnation to Deepika and she says she has no opinion on it. "I have never given re-incarnation a thought actually," said the daughter of legendary badminton player Prakash Padukone. Deepika confesses to have learnt many a tip from the film legends of yesteryears - Hema Malini and Helen - to help her play the character of a traditional girl of 70s in her debut film. "I have seen a couple of movies of 70s, specially of Hema Malini and Helen and that's where the inspiration came from," she said.
