A lower court in Jodhpur has taken cognizance of a complaint filed against Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, producer Ramesh Sippy, director Rohan Sippy and lyricist Jaideep for hurting religious sentiments. They have been accused of using indecent language and obscenity.

The complaint was filed under Section 200 to be read with Section 202 in the court of judicial magistrate.

The complainant Mukesh Panwar has alleged that filthy language and vulgar scenes in the theme song of film Dum Maro Dum along with Hare Rama Hare Krishna have hurt people's sentiments.

Presiding officer Arif Moyal accepted the complaint, which apart from seeking harsh punishment for the accused for playing with the religious sentiments, sought a ban on the publicity of film.
