Deepika Padukone's Vogue
Photo on May 2010
With the temperatures soaring like never before and the heating up the city, even a slice of cucumber seems like an oasis in desert! In such a condition, imagine what will happen if you get an entire ocean for yourself! Well, that's exactly how it feels to look at Deepika Padukone as she serves as an eye candy in the sweating summer heat... in the recent edition of Vogue! Deepika Padukone is gracing the Vogue magazine this month wearing much denim and looking really quite hot. The extremely stylish and tall actress talks about all things related to love, fashion and basically being in the public eye. And for all you Deepika-Ranbir fans, she goes on to speak about her ex-beau and what transpired between them. "We were young and in love, and I really didn’t see anything wrong in being vocal about that. I thought being honest would work well, but yes, I would definitely think twice (about being so public) again," she claims. When asked on her fashion statement and style, she explained, "My style has been evolving and I am experimenting with new silhouettes. Overall, though, I just believe in being well-turned-out at all times." Her favorite wardrobe
items includes ripped jeans and anklets while she enjoys wearing, "Pyjamas,
tracks and tees – I can’t wait to get into them every night!" Looking to
copy this fashionista, Deepika prefers shopping in London.
Last time Deepika graced the cover of Vogue India was in July 2009 and at the time she told reporters she was very excited to be back on the coveted magazine's cover. Donning a hopelessly romantic Dolce & Gabbana floral dress from the Spring/Summer 2009 Collection, the former model looked absolutely stunning and said "if it suits you and suits your personality and you're confident you can carry it. If you wear something that doesn't suit you it just looks completely wrong so I think that's important. That's what I believe in and I think it's most important to be confident." Sounds like Dips really loves her denim! And we love to see her wearing it! But Deepika is not one to listen to critics and told reporters she doesn't pay attention to what other people might think of her sense of style: "I have been lucky that I haven't been slaughtered very often. My style really hasn't been affected simply because I don't want to give any importance to journalists who don't understand fashion and don't really dress well themselves. My style has been pretty basic, but, it is evolving and I am experimenting with new silhouettes. Overall, though, I just believe in being well-turned-out at all times."
