In keeping with the latest image makeover fad, Amitabh Bachchan, the ‘shenshah’ is the latest in tinsel town to have hopped on the style-changing brigade. The actor, who is one of the biggest competitors for actors half his age; has once again stood up to claim the best makeover title. 

 But unlike the other B-town bigwigs who stunned us all with their 8-6-pack abs ditching the mid life budge, Amitabh is in no mood to pump iron and sweat his gut in the gym. The ‘shenshah’ will instead have the best of talent at his command to give him a new look for his upcoming flick ‘Pa’. 

Makeovers and the art makeup hasn’t really been exploited well enough like Hollywood in India. Except for Kamal Hasan who has experimented in a few films, no one has done it, found out what wonders makeup can do and used techniques from Hollywood.

In a way, Bollywood is quite oblivious to the finer points of the art.

They seem to believe that the addition or the removal of of a moustache can alter a person’s look.

Sounds like a primitive thought but continues to be used till now. It was used in the recent ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ to establish the two identities of Shah Rukh Khan.

But ad filmmaker cum director of ‘Cheeni Kum’, Balki wants to use the art of makeup in a proper way.

There’s a buzz that for his next film, ‘Pa’, he has enrolled the services of a renowned Hollywood makeup artiste.  Stephen Dupuis had given Robin Williams a complete transformation in the hit movie ‘Mrs Doubtfire’.

‘Pa’ stars Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Vidya Balan and talks about the father-son relationship.

Balki wants to change the Big B’s entire look for his film and that is where the makeup expert comes in.

The buzz is that the megastar too is excited about it and has decided to support his director.

We just hope all the noble intentions lead to something novel and worthwhile.
