Salman plays the role of a young guy who has had a very large fall out with his father and has left his home. He has two brothers played by Anil (Kapoor) and Zayed (Khan). But when his father dies, he returns home to claim his share of the father’s money and legacy. That’s where the twist comes in.

Yuvvraaj is an emotional film . Anil Kapoor plays the role of a mentally challenged person but a one who has fine talent of music. Playing his younger brother in the film, Zayed plays the role of womanizing money spending spoilt rich boy who can not accept that his father has left the bulk of his estate to his mentally challenged son. While Anil Kapoor is excellent in his role, Zayed surprises with his confidence. Anil Kapoor wins everyone’s hearts and is fantastic in the scenes that have him responding to music and also towards the climax when the three brothers are involved in a full fledged emotional scene.

Yuvvraaj has been shot in Prague and Austria. This film is Subhash Ghai’s most expensive project till date costing him over 50 crores. The showman who has had a hat-trick of flops with Yaadein (2001), Kisna (2005) and Black & White (2008) is ensuring he covers all aspects to claim a hit at the box office. Even the spelling of the film’s name has been suggested by a numerologist.

“We are promoting our film ''Yuvrraj'' and according to the trend prevailing one has to promote his or her film wherever they go. As you know that the music of the film 'Yuvrraj is also very good and this is a musical show so I thought that this was the right thing to do. The music of the songs have been composed by A.R. Rahman and Subhash Ghai has directed the film so I thought it was a good thing to do,” said Salman. 

Yuvvraaj is a musical story of a fragmented family of three brothers who are fighting and playing games with each other to inherit their father''s wealth. A.R. Rahman has scored the music of the movie, while Gulzar has penned the lyrics. The film is slated for November 21, release.

However, Subhash Ghai says, “It is entirely a marketing strategy; like at our Yuvvraaj music release event you only found the music director A R Rahman, lyricist Gulzar and the director. So displaying Katrina solo on the first hoarding symbolizes as music begins because she is playing the lead musician in this musical family drama. It is our way of telling the story to the people. We all know that Salman is the lead star”.
