Delhi University Third Cut-off List 2010 (3rd. List)
THIRD Cut Off List 2010
As a major surprise this year, the highly sought after B.Com (Honors) course still has seats left at around 24 colleges, such as Lady Shri Ram, Ramjas, SGTB Khalsa, Hindu, Hans Raj etc.
However, for students aspiring to take up a course in Science, there is not much choice left. Seats for science courses such as B.Sc. (Honors) in Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Physical and Life Sciences etc. have all been filled up in most colleges.
On the other hand, several seats for the B.A. programme are still left untaken at 37 colleges.
The cutoff percentages for the B.Com (Honors) and B.Com courses have seen a dip by upto 3 percent in the third cutoff list. Hansraj College has kept admissions open to their B.Com (Honors) course with the same cutoffs as the second list. However, the Hindu college has decreased the cutoff for the course by 0.25 percent.
Similarly, Ramjas and Lady Shri Ram colleges have lowered the cutoff for their B.Com (Honors) course by 1 percent and 0.5 percent respectively. The cutoff for B.Com programme at Ramjas college has dipped by 1.5 percent as well.
The only science courses that still have seats left are B.Sc Botany (Honors) and B.Sc Zoology (Honors) at five and eight colleges respectively. B.Sc Physics (Honors) is only available at Bhaskaracharya College, with a cutoff percentage of 76.33 percent.
For students aspiring to pursue a course in the social sciences, there are still quite a few options available such as English (Honors), History (Honors) and Political Science (Honors) that are still available across several colleges.
The highly sought after English (Honors) course at the varsity is still available at 10 colleges, as well as 10 colleges that are admitting students via the Common Aptitude Test in English (CATE) scores.
For DU aspirants that had
applied under the Other Backward Classes (OBC) quota, admissions at most
colleges for the OBC category are still open. Admissions to the varsity
under the third cut-off list would commence on July 2.
