On the contrary, courses in science have all been filled up at most colleges. Even so, seats for students from the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category are available at most colleges for almost all courses. These sets will be declared open for the general category if they are not filled up by August.
B.Com (Honors) is one of the most sought after courses at DU and it was a surprise to see that seats are still available for the course at some colleges such as Hans Raj, Daulat Ram and seven others.
The cut off percentage for the B.Com (Honors) course at Hans Raj College is 94.5%-96.5% whereas at Daulat Ram, it is 92.4%-94%. Colleges that are still admitting students to their B.Com programme include Dyal Singh College, Kirori Mal College and Daulat Ram College.
According to the fourth cutoff list, another much coveted course, English (Honors) is still available at eleven colleges. At Ramjas College, the cutoff for English (Honors) is 82%-90%. The seats for the course are also available at other colleges such as Hindu, Deshbandhu and Daulat Ram among others.
The B.A. programme is still open at 15 colleges across the university, such as Hindu, Miranda House, Daulat Ram, SGND Khalsa, Aditi Mahavidyalaya etc.
Meanwhile, admissions for science courses such as Physics (Honors) and Chemistry (Honors) have been closed for not only the general category, but the OBC category as well.
