Harman Baweja birthday party

Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja have always denied that they are seeing each other. They insist that they are nothing more than good friends. On November 12, the eve of Harman’s birthday, his ‘good friend’ threw a surprise bash for him at her Versova residence.

After shooting for Victory, Harman was in the midst of a meeting when he suddenly got a call from Priyanka. She asked him to pick her up from her house and told him that they might go to some nightclub to bring in his 28th birthday. Unaware of the birthday bash, Harman reached Priyanka’s house and was pleasantly surprised.

All his relatives from Canada and Chandigarh were waiting there to wish him. His sister Rowena and cousins Bunty and Sheetal were there too along with Priyanka’s family and her first cousins.

Priyanka had also invited Amrita Rao who is Harman’s close pal after having worked with him in Victory. The party continued till 4 am. Despite repeated attempts, Harman was unavailable for comment.

ARMAN BAWEJA turned 28 on 13th November, 2008. He had a bad start but is not bogged down by it and is raring to go full throttle on his career. He has his hands full at the moment and is just back in town to celebrate his Birthday. On the whole, he had a family function of sorts with his family and just closest friends invited.

Fortunately, I’m back in Mumbai after a very long time. I’ve been shooting for my two films IT’S MY LIFE & VICTORY in various parts of the world. I quite often got homesick. I did invite my sister ROWENA to join me once in a while. 

But on the whole, I liked being on my own. It gave me a chance to think about my life. I’ve learnt to loosen up. I don’t feel that tension of having to deliver my first film. Now I’m far more relaxed. I’ve almost completed two films. I’ve just started shooting ASHUTOSH GOWARIKER’S “WHAT’S YOUR RAASHEE?”. 

Then there’s SANJAY LEELA BHANSALI’S production CHENAAB GANDHI with Mr BACHCHAN & VIDYA BALAN. That’s it. I haven’t signed any more films. All I have agreed to is a film for my father at the end of next year. No other script has me kicked. I’d like to do a young action film. That’s my birthday wish. 

There has been no time to get jet lagged. I’ve just been living out of suitcases, numbed with fatigue. On top of that, last week I hit my head against an iron pillar. For a minute the world came to a standstill. When I regained my senses I couldn’t move my head. Actually it was a good way to bring in my birthday. 

I needed that knock on my head. I’m 28 now and I told myself, ‘Dude, about time you grew up…’ I guess the past year has opened many doors and windows in my life. Fortunately, a whole lot of my relatives are in town. 

So it’ll be a party with my relatives and close friends. And yes, Priyanka definitely falls in the category of close friends.
