Michael Jackson has finally been buried

'King of Pop' Michael Jackson has finally been laid to rest albiet any grand ceremony.

A "funeral" for pop star Michael Jackson has been taking place in the village of Krindjabo, where he was crowned a prince of the Agni people on a visit to the country in 1992. The village has been in mourning since his death on 25 June.

The villagers appealed without success to have the body returned, but since his official funeral in Los Angeles they have decided he also needs to be properly buried according to the customs in the Sanwi kingdom.

The village football pitch here has been transformed into a green square surrounded on all sides by tents full of what I guess is around 1,000 people from the village and - like us - from Abidjan to formally say goodbye to one of the biggest pop music stars of the last 50 years.

You may know him as Michael Jackson, but here he is Prince Michael Amalaman Anoh.

One of the organisers of the event, Emmanuel Kassy Kofi, said they had appealed through the international media and the US embassy in Abidjan for Michael Jackson's body to be returned.

MICHAEL JACKSON has reportedly been laid to rest.
The King Of Pop is believed to have been interred in a mausoleum owned by his close friend, Motown mogul Berry Gordy, in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills on Thursday (06Aug09).
Family members, including Jackson's dad Joe and sister La Toya, were present at the secret ceremony, reports Britain's Daily Star.
The final farewell took place just hours after Jackson's brain was returned to the clan, following the organ's removal by coroners for testing to determine the cause of death.
A source tells the newspaper, "After Michael's high-profile funeral, the family were desperate to say goodbye privately and away from the cameras. His mother Katherine in particular was very uncomfortable with his body being in pieces due to the autopsies and wanted him laid to rest as soon as they were allowed.
"Within hours of the brain being returned, Michael was placed in the crypt. There was a casual ceremony with around 20 close friends and family.
"There were no prayers said, no speeches, everyone just reflected silently on their personal memories of Michael."
And former friend of Jackson's, Uri Geller, has indicated that the reports are true.
He tells British morning show GMTV, "As far as I understand he has (been buried), but rumours are flying constantly non stop."
Jackson died on 25 June (09) after suffering a cardiac arrest. His family staged a private ceremony at the Forest Lawn funeral home before celebrating his life at a televised star-studded event at the Staples Center in L.A. last month (Jul09).

The ‘Thriller' hitmaker, who died at the age of 50 on June 25, was buried at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills without a fan in sight, Mirror online reported.

Jackson’s family has gone to extraordinary lengths to keep the exact location secret as they are reportedly worried that his followers will throng the resting place of their idol.

They are even considering moving Jackson’s body if security becomes an issue, the newspaper said.

“Michael has already been laid to rest, but other than the Jackson family and the management at Forest Lawn, no one knows the exact spot,” a cemetery source said.

“Staff at the cemetery have been fed several different locations, it’s as if they are hoping to confuse everyone so it can’t leak out.

The fear is that thousands of Jackson fans will descend on the cemetery and create a security issue or maybe even damage or deface the grave,” the source added.

The pop icon was laid to rest without a service because his family were satisfied with the ceremony that took place before his Los Angeles memorial concert.

Earlier last week, Jackson’s brain, which was taken out for some clinical tests, was reunited with his body.

Information has been unlocked that pop star late Michael Jackson used to take heavy doze of chemical castration in order to hold back his sexual desire for young boys.

According to sources, MJ, who had been filed with case of sexual harassment twice, took a drug called ‘Depo Provera' which is normally given to suppress the sexual desire in convicts.

This drug suspends the cleavage of testosterone hormones from the brain. The medicine was introduced under the prescription of Dr. Alimurad Farshchiyan who was the personal doctor for the singer during 2001-2003.
