The film witnessed grand openings at one extent while in some regions it raised controversies. Finally, 'Dostana' has leaped with laurels grossing Rs. 100 Crore in 4 weeks at World Wide Box office.

Dostana was released with 920 prints with over 200 prints for the overseas market. The film is the highest grossing Bollywood film ever in UAE and is holds third position in UK Box Office. Well, In North American Cinemas, its holds 16th position. 

The film released all across the globe on 14 November while a day prior in Dubai. The other countries of overseas market include UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Mauritius, France, Holland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Nigeria, Myanmar, Pakistan and Nepal.   Directed by debutant Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Karan Johar, the film witnessed mixed reviews while fetched high-profits in box offices. It stars Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra.
