 In March 2006, Ciesla won a subscribers poll on the internet websites of Auto Bild, Bild, Sat.1, T-Online and Kabeleins and she obtained the most votes with a big lead over her rivals with 350,000 hits to her profile to give her first place as Germany's Super Girl 2006. In May 2006 she was selected by Bild as the Football/Soccer Worldcup Girl 2006, and during the World Cup 2006 she was featured on the front page of a total of seven publications of that newspaper. In 2007 and again in 2008 she was appearing on the German Internet soap opera Beach House, playing the part of Daisy Vandenburg. In November 2007 she told in an interview, that she plans after her modelling career to become a tax consultant. In 2008 Claudia Ciesla was in Austria chosen for the Snow Queen 2008. In the touristic season 2007-2008 she was representing the snowrichest tourist Ski-Village in the World and was showing up on various events and promotional appearances, photo shoots for magazines, advertising and brochures, and did a shoot for the magazine “MOTOR-Freizeit and TRENDS“ in Austria. - The New Indian Express reported that Ciesla is acting in a Bollywood film Karma along with leads Carlucci Weyant, Alma Saraci, and DJ Perry as part of an international filmcrew to be filmed in India. Film Director M.S. Shahjahan mentioned in an interview that there will be more assignments for Ciesla in Bollywood. Her summer 2008 single I love dancing I Espania is written by English composer Gordon Lorenz, and the video shot at his home in Llandudno, Wales. In July 2008 Ciesla played the role of CLAUDIA in the new italian TV-Sitcom "Outsiders in Palermo" shooted in Palermo/Italy. - In Aug. 2008 Claudia played the female lead in the German-Indian Film "Ki Jana Pardes" - In Aug/Sept Claudia shooted in Calcutta, India in the role of a German journalist for the Film "10:10" (Directed by "Arin Paul"), together with awardwinning filmstar Soumitra Chatterjee and sang the titlesong of this movie. During 2009, she will participate as an actress at the next Uwe Boll movie "Silent Night in Algona". "During the last two years I have received hundreds of offers, some of them quite lucrative, for topless and nude work but I said no to all," clarifies Claudia. But she also confesses that she 'did pose topless' for Matador, a well known Lifestyle magazine in Germany, as Miss Matador on 10 pages, and 3 times for Bild, a German daily tabloid. 'Everything (rumours) started when I was in Europe. I couldn't even keep track of it because I was busy over there. But now I hope everything is clear... even Salman had clarified everything in interviews and I am doing the same,' she added. A leading daily here had reported that the model was the actor's new muse and reason behind the Salman-Katrina split. The occasional singer, who has already cut two albums, also conceded that she understands 'it all happens when you are in showbiz'. She says rumour mills started working overtime after Salman invited her to his place. 'The only thing was that he invited me to meet his family. Even Katrina was there and they made me feel most welcome,' said Claudia, who was on her fifth trip to India since January 2008. But the negative reports haven't stopped her from praising Salman. 'Salman is a wonderful person. He is very gentle and polite. He and his father gave me a lot of advice for my Bollywood career. Even Katrina and I spent a lot of time together and she gave me a lot of advice. She told me about her career and how she learnt Hindi. It was amazing. I respect her a lot for that,' she said. On being asked if Salman promised her to find work in Bollywood, she said: 'Salman didn't promise me nothing. Why should he?' Her film 'Karma: Crime, Passion, Reincarnation', directed by M.R. Shahjahan, won prestigious awards at the Spain and Greece film festivals and was also premiered at Cannes. The film is a dramatic thriller about an Austrian girl (Claudia) who is raped and murdered during her visit to India in the 1970s and how she reincarnates and comes back to the same place after 30 years. 'I am seriously thinking about coming into Bollywood. After the rainy season, I'm planning to stay here for a long time...I'll rent an apartment in Mumbai and even start taking Hindi lessons,' she said. She has already worked in Italian and German sitcoms, German-Indian collaboration 'Ki Jana Pardes' (Punjabi), and Bengali movie '10:10'. Earlier, Claudia was also linked to Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Abhishek Bachchan and recently there were rumors that she had grown close to former Mr India on the reality television show. "We are just really good friends and we became pals on the show because we are the same age and we are both models, from the same background, so we had plenty of things to talk about," Ciesla told PTI. The 23-year-old model had earlier worked with the Indo-German production Karma and now the reality show has helped her attract good work in Bollywood. "My manager has already got many calls from producers regarding films. There are some interesting projects, though I cannot reveal much about them," said Claudia. The model who was evicted from the show by the audiences said that she was proud of herself for surviving in the house for 10 weeks. "All the other contestants are well known faces in India and I am an outsider. I don't have my family or fan base here. I was shocked when my name was announced but I am happy that I survived for ten weeks," said Ciesla. |
