When is the Thrissur Pooram?
The Thrissur Pooram is held during the Malayalam month of Medam (mid-April to mid-May). As the date keeps varying every year, a fixed date cannot be said. If you are planning your trip specially to see the Thrissur Pooram, then ask your tour operator to find out the exact date of the Pooram. The 36 hour temple festival is something you have to see to believe. You wouldn’t want to miss out on it due to confusion about its date!
