Celebrities Irrfan Khan, Anu Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Sujoy Ghosh have a reason to rejoice. For these popular faces have bagged the National Award!

After winning a special mention for her performance in ''Ishaqzaade'' at the announcement of the 60th National Film Awards here, young and vivacious actress Parineeti Chopra says she is scared but motivated to keep giving better shots in the film industry.

"After winning so many debut awards, I never thought I would win for 'Ishaqzaade', but when I did, it was the biggest one in the country! That too for my first lead role," Parineeti said in a statement.

"I just cannot believe it. But this scares and humbles me, and will definitely make me work even harder in the future! Thank you jury," she added
While actor Irrfan Khan-starrer 'Paan Singh Tomar' has bagged the Best Feature Film, his efforts haven't gone unnoticed either. Best Actor award has been shared by Irrfan Khan for 'Paan Singh Tomar' and Vikram Gokhale for Marathi film 'Anumati'.

Parineeti Chopra won almost all best - debututante awards of the season, including the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut, the Star Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer - Female, the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut, the Apsara Award for Best Female Debut, the Stardust Award for Superstar of Tomorrow - Female, the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year - Female and the IIFA Award for Best Supporting Actress, besides receiving several nominations for Best Supporting Actress awards.

Usha Jadhav won the Best Actress award for Marathi film Dhag.

Other winners include Nitin Kakkar's Filmistan which has won Best Hindi Film and S S Rajamouli's Eega which has won Best Telugu Film.

Actress Parineeti Chopra received a special mention for her performance in Ishaqzaade. 

Kahaani, starring Vidya Balan, won Best Original Screenplay and OMG, starring Akshay Kumar, won Best Adapted Screenplay.

Dolly Ahluwalia and Annu Kapoor won both Best Supporting Acting awards for Vicky Donor.

NASA scientist-turned-filmmaker Bedabrata Pain's Chittagong won Best Song and Shankar won Best Playback Singer for Bolo Na from the same film.

The National Film Awards jury was led this year by filmmaker Basu Chatterjee.
