Priyanka has left for Brazil to start shooting for her TV show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 3’. Before that, the loving daughter organized a fabulous birthday party on Monday evening for her father Dr Ashok Chopra’s birthday. The party was attended by her father’s close friends and renowned people from Bollywood and Family.

Apart from family, there were also some of Chopras' close friends like Satish Kaushik, Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi, Sajid Nadiadwala (who is producing Priyanka's next film, Anjaana Anjaani), Ramesh Sippy, Kiran Juneja,Tanvi Azmi, 
Rumi Jafri, Anil Mishra, Anil Sharma, Jagmohan Mundhra, Khayyam saab and Neetu Chandra, Shahid Rafi (Mohd Rafi’s son), Mona Kapoor, Anu Kapoor. and from family V.K Chopra, Pawan Chopra, Pradeep Chopra, Dr. Lal, Sunil kapoor and Rajesh Chopra all with family.

Papa Chopra, who is a trained singer, sang one of Khayyam's compositions and the lyricist was so moved that he came up on stage to bless the 'birthday boy.' "Apart from the surprise birthday party Priyanka also gifted me a huge watch. She kept calling every two hours from Brazil to check if everything was going smoothly. I missed her a lot. She told me that she was very upset that she was not there."

The proud father adds, "My son, who is learning hotel management, organised the entire menu. He also looked after the comfort of all the guests. We had a beautiful Mata Ki Chowki (prayed to God) the previous night while Dr Arvind Lal conducted a havan for me in the morning. I am proud to have such a wonderful family." 

Priyanka Chopra’s father is looking after her proper diet routine and she has reciprocated that love by gifting him a lavish birthday bash at a five-star hotel. She has supervised everything related to the party herself including the menu, invitee list and sending personal invitations.

Confirming the news Dr Chopra said that he feels blessed having a darling daughter like Priyanka. He added that Priyanka has even gifted him a watch, which he received on Monday morning.

Speaking about his son and Priyanka’s younger brother Siddharth, Dr Ashok Chopra informed that he played the perfect host of the party. Siddharth has done a course in Hotel Management and his father thinks that it has helped him.

Informing about the party, the proud father said that Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar crooned the number ‘Chhod Do Aanchal Zamana Kya Kahega’ from the movie Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi and he himself sang the song ‘Jeet hi lenge baazi hum tum’ from the film Shola Aur Shabnam.

When asked about his age, Ashok Chopra was quoted saying jokingly that he has just completed his 21st year.

Seems like Priyanka Chopra’s is quite a well-knit family, with daddy keeping track of beti’s diet charts and beti reciprocating the love by organising a lavish birthday bash for him at a five-star hotel. How lovely. 

It turns out, before flying to Brazil for Fear Factor, Priyanka Chopra arranged for a grand party in a five-star hotel in Juhu for her father Dr Ashok Chopra’s birthday. 

Like a loving daughter, Priyanka personally planned and supervised every little detail of the celebration, from arranging the invitee list, sending personal invitations to food etc. Priyanka ensured everything was in order before flying off to Brazil on Wednesday. 

The doting father took a moment to praise his son as well and said, “My son Siddharth played the perfect host. He has completed a course in Hotel Management, and that worked I guess.” 

Dr Chopra’s close friends attended the party, which was held on Monday evening. Guests from Bollywood included the likes of Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Mona Kapoor, Shahid Rafi (Mohd Rafi’s son), Neetu Chandra and Khayyam amongst a few others. 

Talking about the party, Dr Chopra said, “Shabana and Javed sang the song Chhod Do Aanchal Zamana Kya Kahega, from the film Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi). Then I sang Khayyam’s composition Jeet hi lenge baazi hum tum from Shola Aur Shabnam. It was a fun-filled evening. We were in the hotel singing and joking till 2 am. I don’t know how to thank Priyanka.” 

And how old are you, Mr Chopra, we asked shamelessly. “Well, I just completed my 21st year,” he replied. Aww!
